How the 24-hour spray window is scored
Every hour of your farm's own forecast is checked against wind, temperature and rain probability together. Wind is the safety gate: if the forecast has no wind data, the hour is marked unknown rather than calm.

- Wind under 3 or 15–20 km/h · 5–10°C or 25–30°C · rain chance above 15%

A forecast is planning information, not a clearance to spray. The product label sets the legal wind, temperature and rain-free limits, and you still need an on-site wind reading before and during the job.

No, and you should keep watching official alerts. Environment and Climate Change Canada issues the public warnings, advisories and watches for your region, and those remain the authority. AgriIntel forecasts your farm's own coordinates and emails you when frost, heat or wind crosses a threshold — useful because a regional advisory cannot tell you about your low field, but it is a planning aid, not an official warning.
How reliable is a forecast-based alert?
It carries the uncertainty of the forecast it comes from. AgriIntel checks every 3 hours against the forecast for your coordinates, so an alert can arrive late, or conditions can change after it is sent. It is also a forecast for a point, not a measurement on your farm — on clear, calm nights the crop canopy and low spots can sit two to four degrees colder than the number in any forecast. Treat alerts as a prompt to check, not a guarantee.
What happens if weather data is missing?
A missing value is never treated as a safe one. The spray-window forecast will not call a window sprayable when wind data is absent, and alerts are only raised from data that is actually present.
Can I control how I'm notified?
Yes — email delivery is a toggle in Settings, and every alert can be acknowledged, snoozed, or resolved in the dashboard Alert Center.
